After School Program 2025‒2026

Our After School Program, Joyful Discovery, is licensed by the Maryland State Department of Education, Office of Child Care. As an extension of the school day, it upholds the same rules and expectations as the regular school environment. Rooted in the Montessori curriculum, the program provides a nurturing space where children continue their learning through hands-on exploration. We offer enrichment activities that encourage independence, allowing children to choose from a variety of age-appropriate materials, creative expressions, and cultural experiences. Students can enjoy a snack, work on projects, and participate in engaging activities in a supportive environment.

Program is five days a week, Monday to Friday, from 3p.m. to 5p.m

After School Policies

Tuition Information & Payment

All tuition is collected via FACTS, our tuition management system. Families are required to enroll in FACTS. For start dates after the first day of school, the afternoon program tuition will be prorated according to your start date.

Billing

Please note tuition for the After School program is charged monthly and is not pro-rated for holidays, vacations, etc. There are 10 monthly payments from August to May. There are no discounts on the After School program.

Registration

Pre-registration is required, and a drop-in option cannot be accommodated during the school year.

Late Pick-Up Charges

Please be mindful of our 5:00 p.m. pick up time. Late fees will be charged at a flat rate of $10 for the first 10 minutes and $1 per minute thereafter. Late pick up fees will be posted and collected through FACTS.
