CROSSWAY MONTESSORI FOREST SCHOOL
Offering children, infancy to age 9, a full-day, hands-on outdoor Montessori learning experience in nature.
Cultivating every child’s natural desire to learn
Crossway offers children, infancy to age 9, a full-time, hands-on outdoor learning experience in nature, including garden, farm, woodland and forest environments, guided by the philosophy of Maria Montessori.
There is a lot of research pointing to the positive aspects of nature-based or forest schools, including enhanced attention, self-confidence, interest in learning and physical development.
Dr. Montessori's vision for schools was always a combination of indoor and outdoor classrooms to demonstrate the interconnectedness of all things. Children are able to study math and science, nature and the universe.
This fall, in addition to a new cohort for grades 1-3, Crossway Montessori Communities is pleased to offer Crossway’s Afternoons of Joyful Discovery (AJD) program for five days a week from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The AJD program will offer an enriching extension to the regular school day.

they reveal their strength.”
